The Raritan PX4-5906R is a 3-phase switched rack PDU delivering up to 17.3kW of managed power distribution for high-density data center environments. Built on Raritan's seventh-generation iX7 controller, the unit provides per-outlet switching, real-time power metering at the inlet, outlet, and phase levels, and environmental monitoring support — enabling granular visibility and remote control across every receptacle in the rack. The PX4 platform communicates natively over dual Ethernet with support for IPv4, IPv6, SNMP v1/v2c/v3, Modbus TCP, REST API, and HTTPS, integrating cleanly into enterprise DCIM ecosystems including Raritan's own PowerIQ and dcTrack platforms.

The PX4-5906R operates on a 3-phase input drawn from a 380–415V AC, 50/60 Hz feed via a IEC 309 (IEC 60309) 3-phase 32A input connector, distributing power across a high-density outlet bank of 42 × C13 and 6 × C15 receptacles. Per-outlet switching allows remote power cycling and sequenced startup or shutdown of individual servers, network devices, or storage nodes without physical access to the rack — a capability critical in lights-out and remote colocation scenarios. Outlet-level current and energy metering with configurable alert thresholds supports proactive capacity management and helps prevent circuit overloads.

Designed with the demands of AI/ML compute clusters, hyperscale edge nodes, and high-density virtualization racks in mind, the PX4-5906R mounts in a 0U vertical form factor, preserving rack unit space for revenue-generating compute. An integrated environmental sensor bus supports the connection of Raritan's DPX and SensorHub accessories for temperature, humidity, airflow, and door contact monitoring. Secure access is enforced through role-based access controls, TLS 1.2/1.3 encryption, and certificate management, satisfying the audit and compliance requirements common to financial services, healthcare IT, and government data center operators.
