ADATA 16GB DDR5-4800 Registered ECC RDIMM Server Memory

ADATA's DDR5-4800 RDIMM is designed for the latest-generation dual-socket server platforms based on Intel Xeon Scalable 4th Generation (Sapphire Rapids, Emerald Rapids) and AMD EPYC 9004 (Genoa) processors. These platforms require DDR5 registered DIMMs for all high-density and multi-DIMM-per-channel configurations, and the RDIMM's registered buffer provides the necessary signal integrity for populating 8 or more DIMMs per socket.

DDR5 RDIMM architecture introduces SPD Hub (SPD5118) for enhanced module management and monitoring, replacing the legacy SMBus-connected SPD used in DDR4. Each module includes a RCD (Register Clock Driver) with 1:2 clock fan-out, and the PMIC provides regulated power delivery to the DRAM components. These architecture improvements collectively enable more reliable operation at higher speeds and with greater numbers of DIMMs per channel compared to DDR4.

The transition to DDR5 in enterprise data centres is accelerating as Sapphire Rapids/Emerald Rapids and EPYC Genoa server shipments ramp. Enterprise IT teams need to stock DDR5 RDIMMs in multiple densities to support BTO server configurations for database, AI training, and high-memory virtualisation deployments.
