The unit ships with a lithium-ion battery pack, which offers a significantly longer service life compared to conventional VRLA chemistry, reduced weight, faster recharge cycles, and a wider operating temperature tolerance—making it well suited for high-density rack deployments where thermal and weight budgets are constrained.

The 9PX 6000i RT3U occupies a 3U rack form factor and supports an output power factor of 0.9, meaning more of its rated VA capacity translates directly into usable wattage for modern server and networking loads. The unit achieves up to 96% efficiency in High Efficiency Mode while retaining the ability to switch seamlessly into full double-conversion operation, helping organizations meet increasingly strict power usage effectiveness targets. It integrates a wide input voltage window and active power factor correction on the input side, reducing the burden on facility power infrastructure and generator sets.

Eaton's Communications Bay accepts a range of optional network management cards and environmental sensors, enabling integration with leading data center infrastructure management platforms and SNMP-based monitoring toolsets.
