The AMD Instinct MI300X is a high-performance GPU accelerator built on AMD's CDNA 3 architecture, designed specifically for large-scale AI training, inference, and HPC workloads in enterprise datacenter environments. Featuring 192GB of HBM3 memory across eight stacks, it delivers 5.3TB/s of aggregate memory bandwidth, enabling the execution of extremely large AI models—including multi-hundred-billion parameter large language models—entirely within a single accelerator's memory footprint. The OAM (OCP Accelerator Module) form factor supports dense, scalable deployment in OAM-compatible server platforms.
The MI300X integrates 304 compute dies alongside memory dies in a unified 3D chiplet architecture, providing 1,307 TFLOPS of FP8 peak compute throughput and 655 TOPS of INT8 performance. Its Infinity Fabric interconnect enables high-bandwidth, low-latency communication between accelerators in multi-GPU configurations, while ROCm software platform compatibility ensures broad support for machine learning frameworks including PyTorch and TensorFlow, as well as HPC programming models such as HIP, OpenMP, and OpenCL.
