Acer Altos R160 F4 1U Rack Server

The Acer Altos R160 F4 is a 1U single-socket rack server based on the Intel Xeon E-2300 or 4th Gen Xeon Scalable SP platform, purpose-built for enterprises that require a high density of compute nodes in constrained rack space. Its slim 1U profile and relatively low power envelope make it ideal for co-location facilities, remote offices, and edge sites where rack space and power budget are at a premium, yet full server-class reliability is required.

The system supports up to 128GB (or up to 2TB on the higher-end SKU) of DDR5 ECC UDIMM or RDIMM memory and provides up to 10 hot-swap 2.5-inch drive bays with NVMe capability on the front. A dedicated out-of-band management port with BMC and IPMI 2.0 support enables remote administration without requiring physical presence, a critical requirement for unmanned edge and branch deployments. Onboard dual 10GbE ports provide network connectivity with an OCP 3.0 slot for expansion.

Despite its compact footprint, the R160 F4 accommodates up to two PCIe Gen 4 expansion slots and supports optional RAID controllers. The platform's thermal design ensures stable sustained operation even in facilities with marginal cooling infrastructure, and it ships with pre-installed rail kits compatible with standard 19-inch EIA racks.
