Built on SK Hynix's advanced DDR5 DRAM die technology and interfaced via the PCIe 5.0 x8 physical layer underlying the CXL 2.0 protocol, the module presents a coherent, cache-coherent memory region to the host CPU, allowing operating systems and hypervisors to manage it as a second memory tier through CXL.mem Type-3 semantics. The E1.S and PCIe add-in card form factors integrate a CXL controller ASIC alongside the DRAM stack, providing hardware-managed protocol translation, ECC, and RAS features that meet enterprise data-center reliability standards.
