Built on Raritan's fourth-generation Dominion KX IV platform, the unit delivers up to 4K UHD (3840×2160) video resolution at the local port, enabling sharp console visibility for modern high-resolution server interfaces. The DKX4-108 accommodates up to 8 target servers via standard CIM (Computer Interface Module) dongles, which connect to servers through USB or PS/2 interfaces and present a native keyboard, video, and mouse signal to the KVM switch. Remote sessions are delivered through an HTML5-based browser client, eliminating the need to install dedicated viewer software on operator workstations. The switch supports virtual media redirection, enabling remote mounting of ISO images, USB drives, and CD/DVD media to target servers—critical for OS deployments, firmware updates, and disaster recovery operations without physical presence.
