As a SmartZone-enabled device, the P36G18M supports Panduit's SmartZone environmental sensor ecosystem, allowing operators to attach temperature, humidity, airflow, and door-contact sensors directly to the PDU's sensor bus. Collected environmental data is reported alongside electrical metrics through the same network interface, consolidating infrastructure telemetry into a single addressable endpoint per rack. The unit features daisy-chain network connectivity, permitting multiple PDUs to share a single IP address and network drop — reducing switch port consumption and simplifying structured cabling in high-density deployments.
