The Panduit NetKey Fiber Distribution Unit (FDU) is a pre-loaded, factory-terminated 1U rack-mount patch panel integrating 12 LC duplex adapter ports on the front face and factory-polished OM4 pigtails terminated to an internal splice tray or trunk cable connection. The panel is designed for the Panduit NetKey modular cabling infrastructure and accepts individual keystone adapters that can be field-swapped to support multimode, single-mode, or copper combinations within the same 1U form factor without replacing the panel chassis.
Each port delivers factory-tested insertion loss results traceable to ISO/IEC 14763-3 test methodology, with a test report included for each loaded port. The angled front-face design reduces fiber strain at patch cord connections, and the integral strain-relief bar manages excess slack within the 1U panel depth. The back of the unit provides a clean fanout management system for 12-fiber or 24-fiber MPO trunk cables, making it a common termination point in MPO-to-LC breakout architectures for 40G and 100G parallel optic links.
