The Mellanox BlueField-2 P-Series is a dual-port 25GbE Data Processing Unit (DPU) designed for software-defined networking, storage offload, and security functions in enterprise data centers. Built on Mellanox's BlueField architecture, it combines ARM-based processing with dedicated network packet processing engines, enabling offload of virtualization, containerization, and security workloads from CPU to specialized hardware.

This SmartNIC integrates a Mellanox ConnectX-6 Dx network interface with an embedded BlueField SoC, supporting advanced DPDK, SPDK, and OVS-DPDK implementations. The dual 25GbE ports deliver 50 Gbps aggregate throughput with hardware acceleration for overlay networking, encryption, and storage I/O path optimization. Deployed widely in OpenStack, Kubernetes, and VMware environments where CPU efficiency and packet processing latency matter.
