Operating over OM3 and OM4 multimode fiber at distances up to 100 meters, the SR4 utilizes four parallel 25 Gbps lanes to deliver 100 Gbps aggregate throughput, making it the dominant transceiver type for leaf-spine network architectures during the 2023-2024 infrastructure expansion cycle.

This module implements the QSFP28 form factor with hot-pluggable capability, enabling seamless integration into existing data center switching infrastructure without service interruption.
