The Extreme Networks 4220-24P-4XE is a compact, fanless, ruggedized universal access switch engineered for distributed enterprise edge deployments where silent operation, physical durability, and consistent PoE delivery are essential. Built on Extreme's Universal Switch architecture, it runs ExtremeXOS and integrates natively with ExtremeCloud IQ for cloud-driven zero-touch provisioning, policy enforcement, and lifecycle management across geographically dispersed sites. The fanless thermal design eliminates moving parts, enabling deployment in noise-sensitive or thermally challenging environments such as open offices, manufacturing floors, retail spaces, and industrial closets.

The switch provides 24 x 10/100/1000BASE-T PoE+ access ports and 4 x 10GbE SFP+ uplink/stacking ports, supporting IEEE 802.3at PoE+ on all 24 access ports with a total PoE budget suited to high-density endpoint environments including IP phones, wireless access points, IP cameras, and IoT sensors. The 4 x 10GbE SFP+ interfaces deliver high-bandwidth uplinks or can be leveraged for multi-switch stacking, simplifying network expansion without forklift upgrades at the branch or edge.
