The Cisco Unified Port Adapter UCS VIC 15238 is a high-density, dual-mode virtual interface card engineered for Cisco UCS X-Series and C-Series servers in converged data-center environments. This fourth-generation VIC combines 48 ports of 10/25 Gigabit Ethernet with 2 ports of 100 Gigabit Ethernet over OCP 3.0 form factor, delivering unified fabric connectivity for both Ethernet and Fibre Channel over Ethernet (FCoE) in a single adapter.

The VIC 15238 eliminates the need for separate HBA and NIC adapters, reducing form-factor consumption and simplifying cabling. It supports low-latency, high-throughput data transfer with intelligent traffic management, QoS, and advanced security policies enforced at the adapter level through Cisco UCS Manager or Intersight management platforms.
