The Aten CL5716M is a 1U rackmount LCD KVM switch designed for local console access to up to 16 servers in enterprise data center environments. The integrated 17-inch LCD monitor slides into a dedicated console drawer, eliminating the need for separate display hardware and reducing rack footprint. The system supports PS/2 and USB keyboard/mouse inputs with seamless switching between connected hosts via front-panel push buttons or hotkey sequences.

This console switch provides Out-of-Band (OOB) management capabilities, allowing administrators to access servers for troubleshooting, BIOS configuration, and OS-level diagnostics regardless of network status. The CL5716M supports multiple video standards including VGA with resolutions up to 1920×1200, accommodating both legacy and modern server graphics outputs.
