The Aten SN0116A is a 16-port serial console server in a desktop/standalone form factor. It provides out-of-band console access to network equipment, allowing administrators to reach the serial console ports of connected devices remotely over an IP network.
The unit offers 16 DB9 RS-232 serial ports, each supporting data transfer rates of up to 115.2 kbps. Management connectivity is through an Ethernet RJ45 port, and remote access is provided via IP-based Telnet and SSH. Security features include SSH, Telnet and serial port encryption. The SN0116A runs from a 100–240V AC, 50–60 Hz power supply and is rated for operating temperatures from 0 to 50°C.
