The AMD Instinct MI300A is an integrated APU (Accelerated Processing Unit) combining CDNA 3 GPU cores with Zen 5 CPU cores on a single die, designed to eliminate discrete GPU bottlenecks in exascale HPC and AI workloads. The unified memory architecture enables efficient data movement between compute and accelerator, supporting up to 192 GB of HBM3 memory with 5.3 TB/s peak bandwidth. This architecture powers next-generation supercomputing systems requiring both high-performance computing and AI inference at scale.

The MI300A integrates up to 24 Zen 5 CPU cores alongside 304 CDNA 3 GPU compute units, delivering peak FP64 performance exceeding 10 TFLOPS and FP8 tensor throughput reaching 1.46 EXAFLOPS at the system level. Native support for NUMA and unified virtual addressing streamlines heterogeneous computing patterns across HPC, climate simulation, molecular dynamics, and large language model deployments.

Launched in December 2023, the MI300A represents AMD's flagship APU for exascale-class systems, enabling customers to consolidate CPU and GPU workloads on unified architecture while maintaining full compatibility with standard HPC software stacks and MPI/OpenMP programming models.
