The welded steel frame construction delivers robust structural integrity, supporting heavy server, networking, and storage loads. Front and rear mounting rails are factory-installed at standard EIA-310-D 19-inch rack spacing, accommodating a wide range of rackmount equipment from 1U switches to full-depth 2U/4U servers.

The enclosure ships with a lockable, vented steel front door and a removable, lockable split rear door, enabling controlled airflow management and physical access security simultaneously. Side panels are removable for installation flexibility and cable routing. Roof and floor cable entry knockout panels facilitate clean top-entry and bottom-entry cable management, while included mounting hardware and cage nuts support rapid equipment installation. The SR42UB accommodates standard-depth rackmount equipment and is compatible with Tripp Lite's broad ecosystem of rack power distribution units, blanking panels, cable managers, and cooling accessories.
