The Supermicro BigTwin SYS-221BT-HNTR is a 2U chassis housing four independent hot-swappable server nodes, each based on the 4th Gen Intel Xeon Scalable processor platform (Sapphire Rapids). Each node supports dual processors and leverages the X13 architecture, delivering substantial compute density within a compact rack footprint. The shared 2U chassis incorporates a common power subsystem with redundant 3000W Titanium-level power supplies and a shared cooling infrastructure, dramatically reducing per-node power overhead compared to equivalent discrete 1U systems.

Each of the four nodes operates as a fully autonomous server with its own independent memory, storage, and networking resources. Nodes support DDR5 memory across 16 DIMM slots per node, enabling high-bandwidth workloads. Each node provides dedicated NVMe and SATA storage connectivity, with front-accessible hot-swap drive bays for streamlined maintenance without disrupting adjacent nodes.
