RUCKUS ICX 8100-48PF Switch

The RUCKUS ICX 8100-48PF is a cloud-managed Layer 3 switch designed for enterprise edge and SMB deployments requiring integrated Power over Ethernet (PoE) capability. The switch provides 48 × 10/100/1000BASE-T PoE+ ports plus 4 × 10GbE SFP+ uplink ports, delivering 1.3 Tbps throughput with support for advanced security, QoS, and virtualization features in a compact 1U form factor.

Architecturally, the ICX 8100-48PF integrates cloud management capabilities via RUCKUS Cloud Assurance or on-premises management options, enabling centralized network visibility and policy enforcement across distributed sites. The switch supports standard enterprise protocols including VLAN, LAG, RSTP, OSPF, and BGP, with hardware-based ACLs and DHCP snooping for security hardening.

Target workloads include branch office connectivity, access-layer consolidation in campus networks, IoT and wireless access point aggregation, and hybrid cloud edge deployments. PoE+ delivery (up to 30W per port) supports powered devices such as IP cameras, access points, and VoIP phones without auxiliary power infrastructure.
