The Panduit TX6A patch cord is built on Panduit's proprietary TX6A spline conductor pair separator technology, which physically separates the four twisted pairs within the cable to minimize alien crosstalk (ANEXT) and power-sum alien crosstalk (PSANEXT)—the primary performance limiters in UTP Cat 6A systems at 10G. Unlike competing designs that rely solely on insulation thickness, the TX6A spline provides geometric consistency from end to end, resulting in measured insertion loss margins of more than 3dB above TIA-568.2-D Category 6A minimums across the full 1-500MHz frequency range.

The patch cord connectors utilize Panduit's TP-BJ strain relief technology with integrated locking tabs and a robust angled boot that prevents cable kinking at the connector interface, an important reliability factor in densely populated patch panels subject to frequent MAC work. The 28AWG conductors reduce cable stiffness and weight compared to 24AWG alternatives, significantly improving bend radius compliance in 1U and 2U cable managers. The cord is compatible with all TIA-568.2-D compliant Category 6A jacks regardless of brand, though performance optimization occurs when mated with Panduit TX6A jacks.
