The NetApp AFF C80 is a high-density QLC flash array designed for large-scale unstructured data workloads. Built on NetApp's proven ONTAP operating system, the C80 delivers inline deduplication, compression, and tiering capabilities while maintaining enterprise-grade data protection and availability. The system addresses the growing demand for cost-effective capacity in AI training datasets, analytics repositories, and compliance archive tiers.

The C80 architecture employs quad-level cell (QLC) NAND technology to maximize storage density per chassis while reducing power and cooling requirements compared to SSD-based systems. Native snapshot capabilities, RAID protection, and support for both NAS (NFS, SMB) and object (S3) protocols enable flexible deployment across diverse application environments.

Launched in Q1 2024, the AFF C80 integrates with NetApp's broader ecosystem including Cloud Insights monitoring, BlueXP management, and SnapMirror replication, enabling hybrid and multicloud data strategies without requiring application or workflow modifications.
