The QSFP-DD (Quad Small Form-factor pluggable Double Density) form factor provides backward mechanical compatibility with QSFP ports where supported, while enabling the electrical interface density required for next-generation spine and core deployments.
Designed for native integration with Juniper's PTX Series packet transport routers and QFX Series data center switches, this transceiver operates with Junos OS and is fully recognized within Juniper's optical management framework, enabling coherent monitoring of Tx/Rx optical power, temperature, and lane-level diagnostics through standard DDMI (Digital Diagnostic Monitoring Interface).
