Huawei OceanStor Dorado 3000 V6 Entry All-Flash Array

The Huawei OceanStor Dorado 3000 V6 is an entry-level all-flash storage array designed to deliver NVMe-grade performance in a compact, cost-accessible package suited to mid-market and growing enterprise environments. Built on Huawei's OceanStor Dorado V6 architecture, the system employs an active-active controller design and a full NVMe end-to-end data path, eliminating the latency bottlenecks associated with legacy SAS or SATA all-flash arrays. The platform supports both NVMe SSDs and SCM (Storage Class Memory) media, enabling sub-millisecond response times for latency-sensitive workloads.

The Dorado 3000 V6 integrates Huawei's SmartMatrix architecture for high-availability interconnects between controllers, combined with intelligent data services including inline deduplication, compression, thin provisioning, and SmartTier automated storage tiering. The system runs the OceanStor Dorado OS, which provides unified block storage services over Fibre Channel, iSCSI, and NVMe over Fabrics (NVMe-oF) host connectivity protocols, giving administrators flexibility in fabric design. RAID-TP (triple-parity RAID) is supported to reduce rebuild risk when using high-density NVMe drives.

Targeted at virtualized data centers, database consolidation, virtual desktop infrastructure, and edge/branch deployments, the Dorado 3000 V6 is managed through Huawei's DeviceManager GUI or integrated into broader storage pools via OceanStor BCManager for replication and business continuity. The array supports synchronous and asynchronous remote replication as well as HyperSnap snapshot and HyperClone full-volume clone capabilities, delivering enterprise data protection features within an entry-level footprint.
