The ExtremeWireless AP4000 is Extreme Networks' flagship tri-radio Wi-Fi 6E indoor access point, integrating simultaneous 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and 6 GHz radios to deliver aggregate wireless throughput exceeding 7 Gbps. The 6 GHz radio leverages the newly available spectrum to provide 1.2 GHz of clean, uncongested bandwidth for high-throughput applications including 4K video streaming, dense client environments, and real-time collaboration tools. The AP4000 supports MU-MIMO 4x4:4 on all three radios along with OFDMA for simultaneous multi-user scheduling.

The AP4000 integrates a dedicated radio for AI-driven RF optimization and security scanning, operating independently of client-serving radios. This radio continuously monitors the RF environment, detects rogue APs, performs automatic channel and power adjustment, and feeds telemetry data into ExtremeCloud IQ for ML-based anomaly detection and capacity planning. The AP4000 supports WPA3-Enterprise, OWE, Enhanced Open, and PMF (Protected Management Frames) for comprehensive wireless security across all bands.

Deployment is simplified via ExtremeCloud IQ's zero-touch provisioning—APs auto-register, download configuration, and begin serving clients within minutes of being connected to the network.
