The Extreme Networks 7720-32C is a modular chassis-based spine/core switch designed for next-generation data-center and telco IP core architectures. As a 400GbE-capable platform launched in Q1 2024, it delivers extremely high port density and throughput in a compact form factor, enabling operators to consolidate spine-layer switching and reduce overall fabric footprint. The 7720-32C leverages modular line-card architecture with support for up to 32 ports of 400GbE connectivity, providing up to 25.6 Tbps of aggregate throughput.
