The Cisco UCS C220 M8 Rack Server (UCSC-C220-M8S) is the small form factor disk drive model of the C220 M8. It supports up to 2x Intel® Xeon® 6 Scalable Processors with up to 86 cores per processor. Memory scales up to 8TB using 32 x 256GB DDR5-6400 DIMMs, running at up to 6400 MT/s at 1DPC and up to 5200 MT/s at 2DPC.
Storage is built around a 10-drive backplane, with front bays 1-10 supporting 2.5in SAS/SATA/NVMe SSDs. Up to two internal SATA M.2 SSDs, or up to two rear-accessible hot-swappable SATA M.2 SSDs, can be added. Expansion is through PCIe Gen5 x16 risers in half-height and full-height configurations. The server takes up to two hot-swappable power supplies (1050W DC, 1200W AC, 1600 W AC or 2300 W AC) and eight hot-swappable fans for front-to-rear cooling.
It is compatible with Cisco UCS 6400, 6500, 6600 Series and UCSX-S9108-100G fabric interconnects, suiting rack-based data centre compute deployments.
