The ASRock Rack SPC741D48-2L2T is ASRock's flagship Intel platform, built on the Intel C741 chipset for 4th Generation Intel Xeon Scalable Processors (Sapphire Rapids, SPR) in dual LGA4677 socket configuration. Sapphire Rapids introduces PCIe 5.0 natively along with CXL 1.1 (Compute Express Link) support for memory and accelerator expansion — enabling new tiers of disaggregated memory architectures where CXL-attached DRAM or persistent memory can expand a node's addressable memory far beyond physical DIMM slots.

The dual-socket configuration supports up to 120 cores (2 x 60-core Xeon Platinum 8490H) with eight DDR5 DIMM slots per CPU (16 total) running at DDR5-4800 in 8-channel mode per socket.
