The ASRock Rack 2U4GPU-ROME/2T2T is a 2U rackmount GPU compute server barebone designed for AMD EPYC 7002/7003 processors, offering a more thermally relaxed environment for four full-length, double-slot GPU accelerators compared to 1U counterparts. The additional rack unit provides improved airflow paths and supports higher TDP GPU configurations such as NVIDIA A100 80GB PCIe and AMD Instinct MI210 cards without throttling. This makes it a preferred platform for training workloads that demand sustained GPU performance over extended periods.

The system uses an internal riser card assembly that connects four PCIe 4.0 x16 slots directly to the EPYC CPU's PCIe fabric, ensuring each GPU has a dedicated x16 electrical connection with full Gen4 bandwidth.
