The Arista QDD-400G-FR4 is a 400 Gigabit QSFP-DD transceiver engineered for intra-datacenter and campus backbone deployments. It delivers 400G connectivity over multimode fiber (MMF) at distances up to 150 meters, making it ideal for high-density spine-leaf fabric architectures where cost-effective, short-reach optics drive adoption at scale.

This transceiver implements the QSFP-DD (Quad Small Form Factor Pluggable Double Density) form factor, delivering four independent 100G lanes over parallel optics. The FR4 specification leverages OM5 multimode fiber to achieve extended reach while maintaining backward compatibility with existing OM4 infrastructure in many deployment scenarios.
